Overview

One operator per aircraft does not scale. A swarm is useful only if the operator's workload stays flat as the fleet grows, which makes the control station the real product and the airframes interchangeable.

The station arms and launches the fleet, forms it into a chosen shape at a set altitude, and reshapes it in the air without any two aircraft contesting the same space. A destination is a single click for the whole formation. Payload release, return to launch and landing in formation are likewise fleet-wide commands, and any one aircraft can be taken under manual control without disturbing the rest.

Line, column, wedge, echelon left and right, circle, grid, diamond and arrow: the shapes that are actually used, selectable in flight.

Slot assignment minimises total travel and the paths are deconflicted in space and time, with an altitude-layer fallback when the geometry is tight.
